What happens if I have appointed my spouse or civil partner as my attorney but at a later date our relationship is dissolved or annulled?

In this case, your LPA will usually come to an end, but not if you have already appointed a replacement attorney; or if you have appointed more than one attorney to act jointly or independently; or you placed a condition in your power of attorney that permits your spouse or civil partner to still act even when the relationship finishes.
